Poem from Mike

As I sit in heaven, and Watch you everyday,

I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.

I hear you when you’re laughing, and Watch you as you sleep,

I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.

I see you wish the days away, begging to have me Home,

So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.

Don’t feel guilty that you have Life that was denied to me,

Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.

So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,

Then I know with every breath you take,

you’ll be taking one for me.

I would like to thank all who loved Mike.
He loved you too.
Your relationship with him made him who he was.

He always happily embarked on a journey
And although he left us all too soon.
He left us as he would’ve chosen – admiring nature
And doing one of the things he loved.

I would also like to thank Brock Blevins and Matt Francis who were mountain biking with him and performed CPR on their friend. I thank Gail Herrick and Wes Coates for climbing cliffs to get a cell signal for 911.

There were also two unknown bikers who did CPR. I am still looking for them to thank.

I, of course, thank all of the professionals who helped Mike.

I thank Bob Groat for driving me to Flagstaff on that fateful morning and for all of his support. I thank Debbie Sellers for driving from Prescott to stay with Jackson that morning. I thank Matt and Debbie who stayed with me all that day until midnight when Matt and Sarah arrived from camping in Utah. I thank everyone who came and stayed with me and guided me through all of the very difficult tasks I had to do.

Matt and Sarah Weinberg – Bozeman, Montana
Laurie Lujan – Cody, Wyoming
Nancy Chase – Manhattan Beach, California

I thank Claire for her invaluable guidance through this process.
I thank Tom for providing the website with updates and important information.
I thank Matt for the slideshow and music.
I thank Nancy for the flowers and arranging them in Mike’s vases.
I thank Bobdog for mowing my lawn.
Last and foremost I thank my uncle Bob who has been my angel my whole life.

“Even though I won’t have you by my side, Mikey you will forever be in my heart”
“You’re my blue sky on a cloudy day”

I love you and will always miss you.
Thank you for being my husband
And sharing your life with me for 16 years.

Diane

I wish to commend and profusely thank the following professionals who were on the scene the morning of my husband, MIchael Wienberg’s passing, on July 24, 2016, who valiantly tried to save, rescue, and investigate the circumstances. I am deeply grateful for the daily heroics you do as your profession.
